The Benefits of Exfoliation

The benefits of exfoliating your body are endless, as exfoliating removes dry/dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Exfoliation is one of the most important aspects of your home skincare routine for face and body. In addition to helping different skin problems, exfoliating also increases blood circulation which helps you achieve healthy, radiant skin.

It is suggested to exfoliate both your face and body no more than twice a week as part of a good home care regime. Though it is important to remove dead skin, it is also very important to not strip away too many of your body's natural oils, so balance is the key!

When exfoliating your skin, not only are you increasing blood flow and breaking down toxins, but you are also encouraging new skin cells to develop. Some great practices to follow include:

Drink plenty of water. Water drains toxins and will hydrate new skin cells from the inside.

Apply a good moisturizer to hydrate your skin from the outside.

Don't expose your skin to UV rays, sun or sunbed within 24 hours of exfoliation.
